Where are Amazing Things Happening?

This is the tag line recently posted for G2Local at two prominent events- the 2013 Tri-State Business Awards and the annual WBENC conference.  The G2Local team does indeed have a lot of great news and a lot to be grateful for as we head into the summer of 2013.  We have had a fantastic year so far!  First and foremost, we want to thank our incredible team of interpreters and translators who go out and work for us, day in and day out.  We couldn’t do it without you, and we wouldn’t want to……G2Local is the best company in the Ohio River Valley because of the many certified, skilled, kind, and professional interpreters and translators who make up our staff.  Thank you thank you thank you!

Let’s recap our most recent accomplishments!

In April of 2013, G2Local won the prestigious “Tri-State Business Award”, an annual award recognizing companies who have grown in revenue and number of employees.  We certainly fall into that category!  This award comes on the heels of two other awards; in 2012 G2Local was named “Cincinnati’s Emerging Business of the Year” by the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce and, in September of 2011, we were named Cincinnati’s “WE Business to Watch” for 2012.  We are humbled and thrilled that we were able to meet these expectations!

In addition, G2Local has recently opened its first Northern KY location in Ft Thomas.  We are excited to be opening a branch across the river, it is our first venture outside of Ohio.  The community of Ft Thomas has been extremely welcoming and we know this additional office will allow us to service our growing KY client base in a better fashion.

Speaking of new offices, if you have not already heard, G2Local opened a Columbus office in December of last year.  In fact, G2Local joined an accelerator for woman-owned businesses called the WSBA.  The WSBA, located in Westerville, has certainly “accelerated” G2Local’s growth in the Columbus market; it is a fantastic environment that allows G2Local to grow AND work with women owned businesses.  G2Local recently won a contract working for the City of Columbus; we are proud and honored to have a growing presence in this new market.

Finally, G2Local is going on its 2nd year as a certified woman owned business and our Ohio EDGE certification will be finalized at the end of May.  Certification and supplier diversity are two of the main issues the G2Local office concentrates on.  In fact, the G2Local office works with only minority or women owned businesses for all services and supplies, from accounting work to phone service!  Our goal is to build a company that is responsible as well as successful, and to make the communities we work in better places to live.

G2Local’s office teaches a FREE English class every Saturday morning at 10am in our Cincinnati office.  The students are sent to us from Catholic Social Services and the goal is to employ some of the refugees as soon as their English skills reach the level required to interpret.  We cannot express to our readers how much fun these classes have become!  If you know of someone who needs to learn English, this is an open class……..anyone is welcome to join us.  The G2Local office also hosts “Saturday Sessions” aimed at training new interpreters and allowing a practice forum for interpreters who are seeking medical or legal interpreter certification.  Please call the G2Local office for more information!
